Tengye announced the kick-off meeting for an overseas hot strip rolling project
On August 12, 2021, Xi'an Tengye Metallurgical Engineering Co. ltd held a video kick-off meeting for an overseas Hot Strip Rolling EPC project. Related management and technical experts from Xi'an Tengye Metallurgical Engineering Co., Ltd., Beijing University of Science and Technology Design and Research Co., Ltd., Tianjin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. Of China First Heavy Industry Group, and the owner attended the meeting.
This project is a 1450mm wide hot rolling production line, which is the first hot rolling production line exported from China. After being put into production, it will be used to manufacture hot coils with a thickness of 2mm-16mm and a width of 1250mm. This production line includes one vertical roll, one rough rolling, six finishing rolling, flying shears, coilers, coil transport trolleys and other equipment. The annual output of the entire production line can reach 1.5 million tons per year.
Participants at the meeting made special speeches on the overall situation of the project, design and construction preparations, time schedule, project control points, key considerations and supervision work plans according to their professional scope.
Although the current epidemic situation has caused certain difficulties to the implementation of the project, it has not prevented the normal operation of the project. Under the coordination of Tengye's management, the company's various functional departments work closely with each partner unit to overcome difficulties and ensure the smooth progress of each project node.
This kick-off meeting allowed the participating units to have a deeper understanding of the entire project and their respective scope of responsibility, and laid a good foundation for controlling the important nodes in the construction process and the smooth implementation of the project.
