Tengye team and Iran FGC team visited Hebei Steel Works

The Iranian FGC steel mill is one of the largest private steel mills in Iran. In order to modify its 1422mm hot rolling mill production line and upgrade its entire line of automation (primary and secondary) , FGC had signed the Contract with the Tengye team and started the project in March 2018. FGC hopes to carry out equipment inspection before delivery. For this reason, the Tengye team contacted two representative steel mills in Hebei Province and specially arranged the site visit.

On July 23 and 24, 2019, the team of Tengye and the general manager of Iran FGC Mr. Bajalan went to Hebei Tangshan Anfeng Steel Plant and Yuyuhua Steel Plant.

Anfeng Steel Plant is one of the largest private steel mills inTangshan City. The hot rolling line has a specification of 1780mm, including 2 rough rolling and 7 finishing rolling. Its hot rolled steel thickness is 1.5mm-25mm, and the width is 850mm-1630mm. The annual output is 3.5 million tons, the maximum daily output is 18,000 tons. Before the visit, the tripartite team held a brief welcome meeting. The factory staff expressed warm welcome to the Iranian personnel and sent general managers, engineers, safety personnel and other important personnel to accompany FGC team to visit the hot rolling workshop. During the visit, the FGC team stopped from time to time to inquire about the rolling of the plant. The technicians of the plant answered the questions one by one. The FGC team recorded and expressed their satisfaction and said that the workshop is very stirring.

Yuhua Steel Works is located in Handan, which is also one of the largest private steel mills in Handan City. The hot rolling line specification is 1450mm, including 1 rough rolling and 7 finishing rolling. The product thickness is 1.2mm-16mm, the width is 750mm-1250mm, the annual output is 2.5 million tons, and the daily maximum output is 13,000 tons. The factory also welcomed the visit of the FGC team and sent the engineers and technician to answer the questions raised by the FGC engineers. FGC personnel stopped to take pictures and video recordings from time to time, and said that they should use the learned technology for their own factories and continuously increase production.

On July 25th, the Tengye team, the National Engineering Research Center for Advanced Rolling Technology –NERCAR (Institute of Engineering Technology of University of Science and Technology Beijing- IETUSTB, National Engineering Technology Research Center of Advanced Flat Rolling Equipment, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. of University of Science and Technology Beijing) and the FGC team held a meeting on the automation of the machinery and the NERCAR. At the meeting, Mr. Guo Qiang, head of automation at NERCAR, introduced the NERCAR performance to the FGC team. The general manager Mr. Bajalan of FGC expressed great satisfaction and expressed his expectation for the prospect of automation cooperation between the two parties. The two sides indicated that they will work together to complete the 1422mm hot rolling line modification project and hope to build a long-term and sustainable partnership.
