Recently, in the 2050mm continuous casting and rolling thin slab ESP general contract project undertaken by Xi'an Tengye Metallurgy and designed by PT (Pruitt), the first batch of 18 racks put into production are completed in machining. As the global purchaser of the terminal owner, Xi'an Tengye, together with the internationally renowned inspection company BV, has completed the chemical composition inspection, mechanical performance inspection, UT test, MT test and machine tool dimension inspection of the mill housing part of this project. In order to ensure the installation accuracy on site, Tengye adopts the most advanced inspection method in the world - laser tracker inspection, for the inspection of the mill housing assembly dimension.

During the inspection, all equipment in the testing process are controlled according to the ISO9001 standard. Tengye applies the LEICA series AT403 laser tracker for on-site laser detection, and the accuracy of the target ball is set to be 0.03 percent. Meanwhile, SA or PolyWorks analysis software are used for measurement, basic calculation analysis, and some special analysis, such as the establishment of the center reference plane, the matching results of the two sides of the mill housing used in pairs, etc. Tengye also uses the laser detection for analysis and visual display to present the detection results more precisely.
